GobanGarden teaches Go slowly and deliberately: first the board, then liberties, connection, capture, life, territory, and scoring. You’ll learn through short lessons, small review cards, and guided examples that ask you to notice what matters on the board instead of memorizing long rules all at once.

You don’t need to manage the learning system yourself. GobanGarden will unlock lessons when you’re ready, choose the right review cards, and retire early cards once they’ve done their job. Your part is simple: play, answer honestly, and let each mistake become the next lesson.

To begin, follow the main learning button whenever you’re unsure what to do next. It will start you with Lesson 0.1, followed by Lesson 0.2: two gentle introductions to placing stones, taking turns, recognizing neighboring points, and reading the board edge.
